ADOPTION CERTIFICATE

You can customize the certificate with your own message. This message can be for you if it's an adoption of yours, or you can write this message to anyone who will receive the certificate by email as your gift of an adopted animal.

WHEN WILL I GET THE CERTIFICATE?

You can decide the date for sending the email with the certificate. Want to buy a Christmas present weeks in advance? You can also do this and set the date on which you want the person to receive the gift (email certificate). Is it a last minute gift and you need to ship it quickly? It is also possible, just choose immediate shipping.

IS THE GIFT THE CERTIFICATE?

Yes, you are making a donation to our planet and animals. And you are dedicating your donation to someone else if you choose to be a gift. 

The certificate sent by email contains your message and information about the adopted animal. You can then print or send it to whoever you want to offer.

When there is a product associated with your donation or adoption, it is clearly mentioned when you choose that option and is sent to you when you pay, such as plush toys.

AM I ADOPTING THESE SPECIES IN THE WILD ?

You are making a symbolic adoption of your selected species, giving a gift that inspires others and helps protect our living planet. Your donation will be used to support WWF's global conservation efforts. Learn more about our projects here HERE.

WHY IS THE ADOPTION SYMBOLIC?

ANP | WWF helps endangered animals by working on immediate threats to animal conservation and saving the environment in which the animals live. WWF does not single out individual animals, or families, for adoption.  Your donation is directed to field programs to support science, research, and animal study.  The adoption is symbolic in the sense that many animals benefit from your generous support.

ONE-TIME OR RECURRING ADOPTION DONATION

WWF animal adoptions are symbolic and based on a one-time-only donation or recurring donations. Recurring donations allow sustainability and planning in the work to be implemented, as well as the creation of new species protection projects. Additional donations may be also made to adopt other animals.

WILL I RECEIVE UPDATES ABOUT MY ADOPTED ANIMAL?

In our newsletter, we will update you with news about all our fieldwork. The adopted animal is symbolic, so the news could be about the one you chose, or about another animal. The newsletter also includes invitations to events and special news!

HOW ARE MY DONATED FUNDS USED ?

Our adoption center is a fundraising effort to preserve species and their habitats. Your symbolic adoption of these animals helps fight the many threats to their natural environment. The funds raised through these symbolic adoptions are used to help save animals in the wild. Contributors may symbolically adopt an animal from a habitat that ANP |WWF is working to protect and conserve. Your symbolic adoption does not support a particular animal, but instead helps fight threats faced by critically endangered species, like global warming and habitat loss. Our main projects protecting biodiversity are :  Wildlife, Oceans and Fisheries, Water, Forests and Food : Wildlife, Oceans and Fisheries, Water, Forests and Food.

I MADE A MONTHLY DONATION, HOW CAN I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?

To cancel a monthly donation, you can send an email to donativos@natureza-portugal.org with the data in which the subscription is registered and the cancellation is carried out by our team. The cancellation being made 15 days in advance of the next debit, we guarantee that the one for the following month will not be processed.

MY MONTHLY DONATION WAS MADE WITH THE FUNDRAISING TEAM AND NOT ONLINE, CAN I CANCEL IN THE SAME WAY?

Yes, regardless of the subscription method, sending an email to our team is enough for it to be canceled.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Normally, refunding donations is not a common request. However, we understand that there may be cases where this is necessary. For example, if a duplicate adoption was set up by mistake or a credit/debit card was used fraudulently.

As part of our policy of supporting the contributing community, we engage with empathy and understanding, developing lasting, loyal and trusting relationships. This way, if you need to discuss your donation, send us an email to donativos@natureza-portugal.org and our team is always available to discuss, examine the case and do our best to resolve it according to what best suits your case.
